Paul Carl Weber (1823-1916)
In 1857 he toured Scotland and Germany and in 1860 he
returned to Darmstadt in 1860 where he was appointed
court painter. He traveled once again to the
United States, probably about 1870, certainly by 1881, when he gave his address
as Philadelphia. An expert technician, he taught
Edward Moran, William Stanley Hazeltine, and
William Trost Richards.
