Kearsarge Peak House
The first
Kearsarge Peak House was built in 1845. Called by some the "Tip Top
House," it could be reached by a bridal path to the summit of Kearsarge.
High winds blew apart the first Kearsarge Peak House in 1883. A second, smaller structure was erected within a year using debris from the first building. This structure was also blow apart after which a fire tower was build in its place.
