Samuel Birket Foster was active in Boston during the period 1833 to 1860. He exhibited at Chester Harding’s Hall in Boston in 1834 (four portraits) and at the Boston Athenaeum in 1842 and 1846. He was listed as a dealer in fancy goods from 1837-1840. In 1965 a White Mountain painting of his was exhibited at the North Conway Library Exhibition titled Mount Washington.
