“The ‘Old Man of the Mountain,’ in the Franconia Notch, is to be represented at the Centennial by a painting by David Johnson, the New York artist. The painting belongs to Richard Taft, of the Profile House. It is the largest landscape Mr. Johnson has ever painted being five feet high and about four feet wide.”
